Personality and Physical Description

Enobaria is vicious and bloodthirsty. She is a deadly tribute in the arena, ferociously attacking her fellow tributes. She can also be primal and feral at times. She rips one of her fellow tribute’s throat out in the 62nd Hunger Games. She has a hunger for violence, as well as a cruel streak in her, which is evident when she votes for the 76th Hunger Games with the Capitol children.

Enobaria also has a great amount of pride and honor in both herself and her district. She shows great eagerness to enter the arena twice to uphold this honor.

Enobaria’s physical appearance is not described in the books. Her only distinctive feature is her teeth which have been surgically altered to resemble fangs, with sharp points and are inlaid with gold. In the movies, Enobaria is portrayed by actress Meta Golding, who has brown skin and brown hair.

Victor of the 62nd Hunger Games

Enobaria was the female tribute from District 2 in the 62nd Hunger Games. Hailing from a Career District, it is highly likely that she trained for the Games as well as volunteered for the same. Enobaria was a deadly tribute, viciously attacking her fellow tributes. She is infamous for having ripped a tribute’s throat out with her bare teeth. Enobaria emerged as the victor in this edition of the Games and returned to District 2 to fame and glory. She later surgically turned her teeth into fangs and had them inlaid with gold. She became a mentor for District 2 tributes and most likely mentored Cato and Clove in the 74th Hunger Games.

Enobaria in the Third Quarter Quell

Reaping and Tribute Parade

Despite the injustice at the rules of the 3rd Quarter Quell, Enobaria volunteers to be the female tribute from District 2 for the 75th Hunger Games. Her district partner, Brutus, volunteers as well. They do so to overcome the humiliation of being forced to take part in a second Hunger Games and therefore decide to take part on their own terms with extreme enthusiasm.

In preparation for the Hunger Games, Enobaria has her teeth sharpened. During the Tribute Parade, Enobaria and Brutus are dressed in matching gold outfits and gold headbands to represent their district’s industry: luxury items.

Training and Interview

Enobaria attempts to gauge her fellow tributes’ strengths and weaknesses in the Training Centre. She, therefore, asks Katniss to train with her so as to assess Katniss’ skills with a sword. However, due to Enobaria’s apparent bloodlust, Katniss does not form a good impression of her. She decides not to enter into an alliance with Enobaria.

During Enobaria’s interview with Caesar Flickerman, she stands in solidarity with the other tributes against the injustice of being forced back into the arena once again. She holds hands with the other tributes at the end of all the interviews, causing an uproar in the audience.

In the Arena

At the start of the Quell, Enobaria survives the Initial Cornucopia Bloodbath, even taking the life of her first victim, Cecelia. She takes her pick of weapons from the Cornucopia along with her fellow Careers, Brutus, Gloss, and Cashmere. Together, they form the Career Pack.

The Career Alliance decides to stalk and attack Katniss’ alliance. The two groups meet at the beach, where Wiress, Cashmere, and Gloss are killed. Enobaria aims her sword at Peeta. However, Finnick Odair takes the blow instead. Enobaria and Brutus manage to escape the altercation unscathed.

Beetee devises a plan to take Brutus and Enobaria down by creating an electronic trap for them. In reality, however, the plan was to blow up the arena and end the Hunger Games for good. Katniss and the others encounter Brutus and Enobaria while putting Beetee’s plan into action. Enobaria chases Johanna Mason and Katniss across the island. Johanna knocks Katniss out, making it look like she is dead. Enobaria and Brutus pass Katniss by without attacking her.

Katniss recovers and finds Beetee near the tree. Enobaria turns up once again, stabbing Beetee and heavily injuring him. Finnick chases Enobaria down, while Katniss understands the main purpose of his plan. She lets loose an electrified arrow and blows up the arena. Out of the remaining tributes, Enobaria is captured by a Capitol hovercraft along with Johanna and Peeta Mellark, while Katniss, Finnick, and Beetee are rescued by the hovercraft from District 13.

Enobaria in the Second Rebellion

Enobaria is held captive in the Capitol of Panem along with the remaining victors, Peeta and Johanna. However, unlike her fellow prisoners, she is most likely spared from being tortured for information regarding the rebellion. This is because District 2 is still under the Capitol’s thumb at this point. As such, Brutus and Enobaria were most likely excluded from the underground rebel network.

Katniss strikes a deal with President Coin, arranging for the captive tributes to be rescued in exchange for Katniss becoming the Mockingjay. This is known as the Mockingjay deal, where Katniss also bargains for the rescued tributes to receive full immunity. In the ensuing rescue mission, Enobaria is rescued by the rebels and brought to District 13, along with Johanna and Peeta.

Enobaria does not take an active part in the rebellion. After the rebellion, she is one of the seven victors who is asked by President Coin to vote upon a 76th Hunger Games (one final Hunger Games) with the Capitol children. Enobaria votes “yes” along with Katniss, Johanna, and Haymitch, while Peeta, Annie Cresta, and Beetee vote “no.”

It is presumed that Enobaria goes back to her life in District 2 after President Coin is assassinated and Commander Paylor is elected President.
