Roxanne Weasley was born in the early 2000s in Great Britain. She was the second child of George Weasley and Angelina Weasley (née Johnson). Their first child was a son named Fred Weasley II who was named after George’s late twin brother Fred Weasley who died during the Battle of Hogwarts. Roxanne Weasley joined Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry and was sorted into Gryffindor House.

Etymology

Roxanne Weasley’s first name “Roxanne” is the English variant of the French name “Roxane,” which in turn is derived from the Greek name “Roxana,” which comes from “Roshanak,” which means dawn or bright in Persian. Roxana was the name of the first wife of Macedon’s Alexander the Great. The surname Weasley was an existing surname of one of the Pure-blooded wizarding families of Britain. It may have its origins in the name of the animal “weasel” because of how jovial these rodents are, although it is not known for sure.

Appearance

Roxanne Weasley was known to have brown eyes and brown hair. She was considered very beautiful and had inherited both her mother’s and father’s traits and appearances. Since she was active in Quidditch, it is possible that she was very fit and agile, as most Quidditch players were commonly known to be.

Early Life

Roxanne Weasley was born in the early 2000s in Great Britain to George Weasley and Angelina Weasley (née Johnson) after her elder brother Fred Weasley II. She mostly lived somewhere in England, presumably in the Burrow, near Ottery St Catchpole. She and her elder brother were close to their cousins, including James Potter, Albus Potter, Lily Potter, Rose Granger-Weasley, Hugo Granger-Weasley, Victoire Weasley, and many others.

Their father, George Weasley, was the founder and the owner of the Weasleys Wizard Wheeze, a joke shop he started with his twin brother Fred Weasley. He and his younger brother Ron Weasley managed it after the death of Fred Weasley in the Battle of Hogwarts.

Family

Roxanne Weasley was the daughter of George Weasley who was the son of Arthur Weasley and Molly Weasley (née Prewett). George had five brothers and a sister. His brothers included Bill Weasley, who was married to Fleur Weasley (née Delacour), Charlie Weasley, Percy Weasley, Ron Weasley, who was married to Hermione Granger-Weasley, and his late twin brother Fred Weasley. His only sister was Ginevra “Ginny” Weasley, who was married to the famous Harry Potter

Roxanne Weasley’s mother was Angelina Weasley (née Johnson), who was one of the most popular chasers of the Gryffindor Quidditch team. Both she and George were on the team. George played as a beater along with his late twin brother Fred.

Hogwarts

Roxanne Weasley joined Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry when she turned eleven years old in the mid-2010s. She traveled to the King’s Cross Station in London with her parents and brother and boarded the Hogwarts Express on Platform Nine and Three Quarters. She was sorted into Gryffindor House like most of her family members, parents, and cousins. It is possible that she joined the Gryffindor Quidditch team as both her parents were Quidditch players who represented the Gryffindor Quidditch Team. Roxanne graduated from Hogwarts in the 2020s.

During the Events of Harry Potter and the Cursed Child

Roxanne Weasley had mostly already joined Hogwarts by the time the events of Harry Potter and the Cursed Child had started to unfurl. She was sorted into Gryffindor House, as were most of her cousins, except for Albus Severus Potter, who was sorted into Slytherin House. Albus was friends with Scorpius Malfoy, the son of Draco Malfoy. Most of the Potter and the Weasley cousins did not spend a lot of time with Albus after he joined Slytherin House, as they stayed in different dormitories and were sworn enemies in the House Cup.

However, it is possible that Roxanne was on talking terms with Albus Severus Potter. Roxanne may also have had several changes or completely disappeared when Albus and Scorpius used the Time Turner to go back in time to save Cedric Diggory. After their time travelling exploits, Ron’s daughter Rose Granger-Weasley had completely disappeared and Ron was married to Padma Patil and had a son called Panju Weasley.

FAQs

How old are Fred and Roxanne Weasley?

It is not clearly known in which year Fred Weasley II and Roxanne Weasley were born. However, it is believed that Fred Weasley II is the elder brother of Roxanne Weasley, and it is also claimed that Victoire Weasley is the eldest of the Weasley cousins. Since Victoire was born in 2000, it is likely that all the other Weasley cousins were born after 2000 or in 2000. Fred and Roxanne are most likely to be born after 2000 because Victoire’s parents, Bill and Fleur, got married in 1997, way before the other Weasley siblings.

Who is Roxanne Weasley’s boyfriend?

There is very little information about who Roxanne Weasley dated in Hogwarts or got married to. However, it is possible that she dated someone from Hogwarts, even someone possibly from Gryffindor. Since it is believed that she was a Quidditch player like her parents, she may have dated someone from the Gryffindor Quidditch team as well which is similar to how her parents started dating.

Who is the mother of Roxanne Weasley?

Angelina Weasley (née Johnson) is the mother of Roxanne Weasley. She was known to be one of the best chasers that the Gryffindor Quidditch Team ever had. She married George Weasley, who was a beater in the Quidditch team, with his twin brother Fred Weasley. George had asked Angelina to go with him to the Yule Ball during the Triwizard Tournament at Hogwarts, and the two probably started dating after that.
