Audrey Weasley

Very little is known about Audrey Weasley except that she was the wife of Percy Weasley after the Battle of Hogwarts and that they had two children named Molly Weasley II and Lucy Weasley. Audrey was likely a Muggle-born witch or even a Muggle. She married Percy Weasley, the third eldest sibling of Ron Weasley from the Weasley family.

Percy was present at King’s Cross Station on the day Harry Potter, Hermione Granger, Ron Weasley, and Ginny Weasley were there on September 1st to drop their children at the station to board the Hogwarts Express. Percy and Audrey may have been present at the station to send off their kids in the Hogwarts Express to Hogwarts.

Introduction To Audrey Weasley

Very little information is present about Audrey Weasley. Audrey Weasley may be a Muggle or Muggle-born witch. It is also possible that she was Half-blooded or Pure-Blooded. Audrey’s family may have had some wizarding connections despite her family and the status of her maiden name unknown to any Harry Potter fans. 

Audrey’s Husband, Percy Weasley

Percy Weasley was the third child of Molly Weasley and Arthur Weasley. He had two elder brothers – Bill Weasley and Charlie Weasley. Percy had three younger brothers, George and Fred Weasley, twins, and a younger brother named Ron Weasley. He also had a sister, the youngest of them all, Ginny Weasley.

Percy Weasley was in his fifth year when his youngest brother, Ron Weasley, and the famous Harry Potter, Ron’s best friend, joined Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Percy was made the school prefect in the same year. Percy was known to be a strict follower of the rules, unlike his brothers Fred and George who were notorious rulebreakers. 

Percy showed interest in working for the Ministry of Magic and after graduating from Hogwarts, he became an assistant to Barty Crouch Sr, who was the Head of the Department of International Magical Co-operation. 

However, after Harry Potter reported the return of Lord Voldemort after he fought the latter in a graveyard during the Triwizard Tournament, the Ministry distanced itself from this story. Since the Weasley household firmly believed in Harry Potter’s stance, and Percy Weasley supported the Ministry, there was a rift between Percy and his family. 

Percy left the Burrow after he had a spat with his father about the same. This rift was resolved much later during the Battle of Hogwarts after which Percy became close to his family as before.

Early Life And Background

Very little is known about Audrey’s family background and childhood. However, if she was a witch who was born in England, she likely attended Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. She may have been a contemporary of Percy in school or may have joined Hogwarts when he was not studying there.

Meeting And Marrying Percy Weasley

Since Audrey Weasley eventually became Percy’s wife, the two may have met beforehand. They may have known each other when they studied at Hogwarts, but since Percy had a serious girlfriend named Penelope Clearwater when he was at Hogwarts, it is unlikely that Audrey and Percy thought of marrying each other in the future. Percy and Penelope were both a prefect at Hogwarts.

Another possibility is the two met at work. Percy Weasley worked at the Ministry of Magic and had also worked under the Minister of Magic. It is possible that Audrey worked at the Ministry too and the two started dating and eventually decided to get married.

Finally, if Audrey was a Muggle, Percy may have met her in London, and the two may have gotten to know each other coincidentally. 

Her Role In The Weasley Family

Percy Weasley had two elder brothers Bill and Charlie Weasley. He had three younger brothers – Fred, George, and Ron Weasley and a sister Ginny Weasley. Fred Weasley died during the Battle of Hogwarts. During their childhood, the Weasleys had stayed in the Burrow with their parents Arthur and Molly Weasley. The family likely stayed together after the children got married. It is also possible that they moved to new houses like Bill and Fleur who stayed in the Shell Cottage after their wedding.

Ginny married Harry Potter and Ron married Hermione Granger. George Weasley married Angelina Johnson. Audrey likely met her brothers-in-law, sister-in-law, and other relatives quite often. Her kids were likely close to their cousins including Albus Potter, Rose Granger-Weasley, Lily Potter, and James Potter II.

Parenting Their Children

Audrey and Percy ensured that their children Molly and Lucy had a fun childhood. Since Percy Weasley worked at the Ministry of Magic, Audrey probably spent more time with her kids. Molly and Lucy would eventually study at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry with their cousins.

Later Life And Legacy

Very little is known about Audrey Weasley and her later life. She played a major role in ensuring that their kids got a good education and grew up in a good household. Since there exists a possibility that Audrey may have been a Muggle, she likely had to make sure to learn a lot about the magical world and understand it properly. If she was indeed a Muggle, she was one of the few Muggles and possibly the first Muggle to marry into the Weasley family.

Was Audrey A Muggle Or A Witch?

Audrey Weasley is certainly the most enigmatic member of the Weasley family in the generation of the Weasley siblings. Very little is known about her and the only mention made about her in the Harry Potter series claims that she was the wife of Percy. 

Since she was never mentioned in any of the Harry Potter books including Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, there is no clarity on whether she was a Hogwarts student. Many fans even speculated that Audrey might have been a Muggle whom Percy met in London when he was staying away from the Weasley family. 

While this will forever remain a mystery in the minds of speculative readers of the Harry Potter series, Audrey was probably not a student at Hogwarts that Percy was familiar with.
